2014 Season Recap
The Loyalsock Township High School Track and Field program just finished its fourth successful season. Athletes continue to improve their times and distances year after year in the 18 different events the sport offers. This is not a sport where luck can help one without paying the price of commitment and hard work.
The boys school records set this year belong to Fletcher Quigley in the 100m dash with 11.04s and in the 200m dash with 23.24s. Caleb Robbins in the 400m dash with 52.44s. Stephen Harrison in the shot put with 46’5.75”. Wes LaPoint in the high jump with 6’5”. The 4x100m relay team consisting of Caleb Robbins, Robbie Newton, Marcus Williams and Fletcher Quigley with 43.24s and the 4x400m relay team consisting of Caleb Robbins, Ryan Loeh, Jahsir Mitchell and Bailey Sims with 3:34.6s. The girls school records set this year belong to Melissa Hill in the javelin with 85’7” and the 4x400m relay team consisting of Lauren Raemore, Emma Fox, Addison O’Connor and Madison Mackenzie.
Special accolades go to the PHAC Track and Field All-Stars. Second team nominations include Jahsir Mitchell in the 110m hurdles, Ryan Loeh in the triple jump and high jump, Lauren Raemore in the 100m and 200m dash and Angie Cardillo in the long jump and triple jump. First team nominations include Wes LaPoint in the triple jump and high jump.
Coaches Ashley Sekel, Matt Hill, Becky Leid and Dave Raemore led the boys to a 2-3, and girls to a 3-4 overall record. The team also participated successfully in the Susquehanna Indoor and Outdoor Invitational’s, the Breslin Relays at Mt. Carmel, the Lock Haven HS Classic and the PHAC Coaches Championship. There were 12 males that qualified for the District IV Championships in 31 events and 8 females in 13 events. Place scorers were Fletcher Quigley in the 100m, 200m, long jump and the 4x100m relay also consisting of Robbie Newton, Marcus Williams and Caleb Robbins. Caleb Robbins in the 400m and the 4x400m relay also consisting of Ryan Loeh, Jahsir Mitchell and Bailey Sims. Jahsir Mitchell in the 110m hurdles. Wes LaPoint in the high jump and triple jump. Ryan Loeh in the triple jump. Stephen Harrison in the shot put and Nicole Dougherty in the 100m hurdles. The boys team ended up in 4th place overall with 50 team points at the District IV Championships in Athens, PA. The boys team also sent Wes LaPoint, District IV high jump champion, ranked #3 in the state to the PIAA State Track and Field Championships in Shippensburg, PA.
2015 Season Recap
The Loyalsock Township High School Track and Field team just finished its fifth successful season. The boys school records set this year belong to Fletcher Quigley in the 100m dash with 10.95a and in the 200m dash with 22.45a and Quinn Serfass in the 3200m run with 10:25.86s. A girl school record set this year belongs to Melissa Hill in the javelin with 87’8”. Special accolades go to the Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference Track and Field All-Stars. First team nominations include Angela Cardillo in the long jump. Second team nominations include Angela Cardillo in the triple jump, Lauren Raemore in the 100m, Fletcher Quigley in the 200m, Christian Diggs in the high jump, as well as the girls 4x100m relay consisting of Lauren Raemore, Tara Hall, Angela Cardillo and Myriah Saar and the boys 4x100m relay consisting of Marcus Williams, Ryan Novotny, Dominique Martinez and Fletcher Quigley.

Place scorers were Fletcher Quigley in the 100m, 200m and the 4x100m relay also consisting of Marcus Williams, Ryan Novotny and Dominique Martinez. Marcus Williams in the 100m and 200m. Angie Cardillo and Myriah Saar in the long jump and the 4x100m relay also consisting of Lauren Raemore and Tara Hall. The boys team also sent Fletcher Quigley in the 100m and 200m to the PIAA State Track and Field Championships in Shippensburg, PA.
2016 Season Recap
The Loyalsock Township High School Track and Field team finished its six successful season. This season saw a number of firsts for the program. It was the first season we practiced on our own track, the first time one of the teams (girls) won the PHAC Freshman/Sophomore invitational, the first season of our middle school program and the first time Loyalsock had a freshman all-state performer, Hailey Zurich in the pole vault. Hailey was joined at the PIAA state meet by freshman Maddie Fox, tied for 10th in the high jump, and sophomore Quinn Serfass, 16th in the 3200m. Overall, the hard work and dedication of our athletes helped the boys’ finish 4-2 and the girls’ 2-4. They also successfully competed in two large invitational meets at Lock Haven University and one at Mansfield University.
The 2016 season saw 80 changes to top ten performances and 10 school records. These records belong to:

Additionally, there were 26 athletes, 14 girls and 12 boys, who qualified for the District IV meet. Place winners for the girls were, Charlotte Neylon in the 100m & 200m, Maddie Fox in the high jump, Hailey Zurich in the pole vault, and the 4x100m team consisting of Jenna Gardner, Maddie Fox, Hailey Zurich and Charlotte Neylon. For the boys, place winners were Matt Nickolaus in the 400m, Quinn Serfass in the 1600m & 3200m, Ryan Sullivan in the 1600m & 3200m, and the 4x800m team consisting of Micah Beiter, Quinn Deitrick, Matt Nickolaus and Brooks Durand.

We look forward to a hosting our first home track meet and a successful 2017 season!
